Dr. Nichols is a Marin County native. She was born and raised in Marin and is a second generation orthodontist. Her father, Dr. Owen Nichols, practiced orthodontics in Greenbrae, California for over 40 years.
Dr. Nichols received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Puget Sound. She obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where she graduated with high honors. While at the University of the Pacific, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Tau Kappa Omega National Dental Honor Societies. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the Oregon Health and Science University.
Dr. Nichols is past president of the Marin County Dental Society and has served on the Council for New and Younger members for the American Association of Orthodontists and on the board for the Marin County Dental Society. She is a member of the Marin County Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, California Orthodontic Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Nichols lives in Mill Valley with her husband, two daughters, and their dog.
